Who should apply

For Liberia’s next generation of bioscience leaders

The pilot is designed for university juniors and seniors studying science, health, engineering, laboratory science, or related disciplines at recognized Liberian universities, as well as laboratory scientists and scientific professionals.

  • Approximately 30 participants will be competitively selected.
  • Previous biotechnology coursework or laboratory experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Applicants must be available for the orientation lunch and at least three instructional sessions.

Each Saturday moves from scientific foundations to biomanufacturing, quality, and career application.

Biotechnology & Biologics

Foundations, vaccines, antibodies, and recombinant proteins.

Upstream Bioprocessing

Cells, media, transfection, bioreactors, and production.

Downstream Bioprocessing

Harvest, filtration, chromatography, and formulation.

Quality, GMP & Careers

Documentation, regulation, career pathways, and Liberia-focused applications.

Industry perspectives: Featuring biotechnology professionals, researchers, and public-health leaders. Guest speakers will be announced.

Certificate requirement: Participants must attend at least three of the four instructional sessions to qualify for a certificate of completion.
